Great Hall Lunchtime Concert Series

The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora

The celebrated Great Hall Lunchtime Concert Series at the Arts Centre te Matatiki Toi Ora is back for 2019 – and bigger and better than ever!

The series, which features renowned local, national and international artists in the stunning Great Hall, now features two performances each month due to popular demand.

It kicks off on 25 February with jazz pianist Doug “The Maestro” Caldwell and friends – guitarist Bob Heinz, bassist Mike Kime and vocalist Trish Rainey. The foursome will be belting out all your jazz favourites in the UNESCO award-winning heritage building with beautiful acoustics.

Other concerts throughout the year include violinist extraordinaire Fiona Pears, guitarist/singer Graham Wardrop, vocalist Janice Gray, pianist/vocalist Elizabeth Braggins, and many other talented performers.

Concerts are from 1.00pm to 1.50pm and tickets can be bought from the Great Hall entrance from midday on the day of the performances.

Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for friends of the Arts Centre and Concerts for Christchurch Foundation Trust members, and $5 for students and children.

Reservations and enquiries can be made by emailing concertsforchristchurch@gmail.com.
